Verne Lundquist was born as Merton Laverne “Verne” Lundquist Jr., on the 17th of July in the year 1940 in the city of Duluth in the state of Minnesota in the country of the United States of America. Verne Lundquist is a citizen of the United States of America right from birth, he belongs to the North American ethnicity.
The details about his parents and early life finds no mention in the media nor in his biography. Verne Lundquist was a student at the Austin High School which is located in the city of Austin in the state of Texas. Post graduating from the Austin High School, he went on to be a student at the Texas Lutheran University.
In the year 1958, Verne Lundquist was the founding members of the Omega Tau Fraternity, while he was a student at the Texas Lutheran University. At present, for his alma mater, Verne Lundquist is the board member of Regents. Verne Lundquist graduated in the year 1962, from the Texas Lutheran University.
Verne Lundquist has been married thrice in his lifetime, with his first marriage which took place in the year 1967, where he married a woman named Patricia. Verne Lundquist got a divorce from his wife in the year 1971.
Later in Verne Lundquist was married to his second wife, in the year 1972, just about a year after his divorce from Patricia, this time Verne Lundquist was married to Kathy Vernon. The marriage between Verne Lundquist and Kathy Vernon lasted for almost 8 years, post which Verne Lundquist again opted to get a divorce from her. Post his divorce to Kathy Vernon, Verne Lundquist married Bette Lorraine Higgins in the year 1982. From his marriage to Bette Lorraine Higgins, Verne Lundquist has a son named Vaughan Matthew Lundquist.
Career
Verne Lundquist always was interested in being a broadcaster and hence he ventured into the field by being a sports anchor in Dallas for WFAA. Simultaneously he began working in Sutin for the KTBC and soon Verne Lundquist was the voice of the team Dallas Cowboys on radio.
Verne Lundquist was later inducted into the Sun Bowl Hall of fame at the Sun Bowl of the year 2005. Verne Lundquist is well known in the broadcasting circles as The Golden Throat, due to his fabulous voice and commentary skills. In addition to this, he has been an active member on the boards of various companies and committees, aiding and helping with his expertise.
