Alexandra Lynette Wilson who is popularly referred to as “Alexandra Wilson” is an eminent American Actress. Alexandra is a talented and alluring lady known in the entertainment industry for her phenomenal performance in the acclaimed soap opera “Another World”.

Personal Life:

Alexandra was born in California, United States on 17th July 1968. Alexandra is an American national with White/Caucasian nationality. Wilson went to Chantilly High School in Fairfax County, Virginia where she actively participated in cheerleading. Wilson then took to studying theatre and history at Broward Community College in Miami. Wilson’s mother Elaine Wilson was a well-known drama teacher at Chantilly High School.

After concluding high school Alexandra partnered with Elaine Wilson and founded “The Alliance Theatre” where she served as the president. Not much is knows about Wilsons current relationship status. The subject of her marriage still is an enigma amongst her fans. There have been times when Wilson was captured on camera with Shawn David Thompson, an American actor. However, it is believed that they both parted ways and the reason behind their separation is unknown.

Career:

In 1980, Alexandra moved to New York to pursue a full-time career as an actress after her parents encouraged her to do so. While in New York she lived with her grandmother and took up the job of a waitress to pay for her dancing, singing and acting classes. Wilson auditioned for a number musical, during this auditions she realized that she was better at singing and acting than dancing. For Hire in 1986, these were her first stints as an actress on the small screen. By the age of 19, she was also seen in many television commercials for Pizza Hut, Claritin, and Coke. Wilsons real breakout came when she was cast as a regular in scheduled daytime dramas. Her first appearance in soap operas was in the American Television soap opera “As the World Turns”. Wilson was also a part of the ABC channel TV series “Loving” (1987) but her contract was terminated within six months. Wilson then auditioned for “Another World”. She was selected to play the part of a farm girl (Josie Watts) in the series “Another World”.

Wilson portrayed Josie in the “Another World” for a period of 3 years. Wilson shifted to Los Angeles in 1991 and secured a role in the drama “Homefront” which was based on the World War II. “Homefront” won the 1992 People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Dramatic Series. In spite of this recognition “Homefront” was not renewed after the third season. Following Homefront Wilson appeared in many drama series which ran for a short span of time.

Wilsons first big budget movie was “Small Soldier”. In “Small Soldier” directed by Joe Dante she played the role of an assistant to the lead Denis Leary. Wilson has also appeared as a guest on renowned television shows like “Any Day Now, First Monday” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
