Terell Davis is an American Football player who played from 1995 to 2001 for the Denver Broncos. He was also known as the MVP of Super bowl XXXIII and by the time he was leaving football he had 65 touchdowns and 7607 rushing yards. Pro Football Hall of Fame elected him as President in 2017. However, Rick Gosselin criticized the authorities for it and expressed his dissatisfaction over it.

Davis was extremely prone to injury and migraine were the only things that held him down.

Personal Life

He was born to a nurse on October 28th, 1972 at San Diego, California, USA and was one of the eight siblings. He used to study in San Diego Lincoln High School and then graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer economics. He currently resides in Temecula, California and his marriage was solemnized with Tamiko Nash who was crowned Miss California in 2005. Together, they have 3 children, two sons named Jackson and Myles and a daughter named Dylan.

He was also nicknamed “T.D.” which is factually the initials of his first and last name however it was also popularized to be touchdown. Interestingly, he wrote his own biography which bears the name “TD: Dreams in Motion”. He popularized the mile high salute after each and every touchdown that he completed and that was his trademark move.

Career

Davis won the Superbowl XXXII and the Superbowl XXXIII as member of the Denver Broncos Team and he was the all time leading rusher of this team with a record score of 7607 yards. He was also considered as the MVP of the Superbowl he played in for the season of ‘98-’99. He attended the LongBeach State University to play for George Allen but he could never really play for him officially as he had died by the end of the 1990 season after which he was transferred to the University of Georgia.

In 2000, he was put away from the game due to a stress injury in his leg and he also could not play in 2001 due to an arthroscopic surgery in both his knees. While he was retiring, even then he was placed on injury reserve.It is claimed that he was a sixth round draft pick after playing four years at the University of Georgia and he became of the very few players to rush to 2000 yards at a single season.

He was added to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 which was not appreciated by Rick Gosselin as according to him, Davis’ inclusion lowers the bar of the entire set up. Davis retired from the game in 2002. His net worth would be $10 million in the present day.
