Personal Life
Curtis was born in Michigan, USA on the 20th of August 1976 to parents Joanie Curtis and Rod Curtis. Her dad, Rod was the owner of a garbage business located in Detroit. In her biography, Curtis only had one sibling named Ryan Curtis who is currently an actor.
Growing up, Nicole attended Lake Orion High School and graduated in 1994. Curtis then enrolled in colleges in Michigan and Florida. Initially she opted to study law at the university but later changed to education. Nicole was in a relationship with Steve Cimini and before her graduation, the two welcomed a son, Ethan though the couple was not married. She later had a second son, Harper out of wedlock with Shane Maguire
Nicole has had numerous controversial moments in her life. Nicole’s mom, Joanie once filed a restraining order against her for her abusive and threatening nature. Shane Maguire took Nicole to court for custody of their son and the matter was settled by the judge.
Career
Nicole used to work as a waitress before she hit the screens as a reality TV star. A friend advised her to apply for a job at Hooters, a restaurant in New York City that is famously known for its waitresses who dress provocatively. Though she landed the job, Nicole was still struggling to raise sufficient funds for her upkeep as she was pregnant with Ethan then.
When Magnetic Productions was planning to start a new reality TV show in 2009, they went in search for a real-estate agent and in the process came across Nicole’s website. Her blonde hair suited the role and she was invited to meet with the production cast. Nicole expressed her interest in old-homes rehabilitation and that intrigued the owner and thus the birth of Rehab Addict.
The show, Rehab Addicts entails utilizing commonly thrown away items and reusing them. Since its debut on screen in 2010 on the Do It Yourself (DIY) Network, Curtis has been able to rehabilitate houses in Minnesota, Ohio and Michigan. In 2014, the Rehab Addict show began its 4th season which was then aired daily on HGTV from 8-10 p.m. Her son Ethan also made frequent appearances on the show.
In her imdb profile, Nicole’s success in production is highlighted. She successfully produced Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall in 2014 and a year later she worked on Beach Flip. Curtis is also an author and in 2016, she released Better Than New. The book is a memoir that uncovers aspects of her personal life revolving around lessons she has picked up along the way and the highs and lows of her life.
