Deborah Kara Unger started by achieving success at a young age itself, when she became the first Canadian who was accepted at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, located in Australia.

Career

Post completing her graduation, Deborah Kara Unger was blessed with a good amount of work in numerous films in Australia and TV series, such as Bangkok Hilton with the acclaimed Australian actress Nicole Kidman. Post her return to North America in the early 90’s she was a part of the miniseries called Hotel Room, which was aired on HBO in the year 1993, at the helm of the show was critically acclaimed director, David Lynch. A year after that project, Deborah Kara Unger was seen in Highlander III: The Sorcerer, alongside Christopher Lambert.

Deborah Kara Unger’s breakthrough role could be attributed to that of her performance in Crash, a 1996 erotic-drama film which was directed by David Cronenberg. After appearing in Crash, Deborah Kara Unger was seen alongside Hollywood megastar, Michael Douglas, in The Game, which was a psychological thriller film. The movie was helmed by David Fincher. Later in the year 1998 she appeared in The Rat Pack, which was produced by HBO and she portrayed the role of Ava Gardener.

After this, Deborah Kara Unger was seen in Payback, with Mel Gibson, and The Hurricane with Denzel Washington, both of which were mega hits at the box office. Deborah Kara Unger has also starred in various critically acclaimed and individual films as well, Sunshine, was one such movie that was critically acclaimed, other include, Fear X, Ten Tiny Love Stories, Signs and Wonders, Thirteen, Emile, Hollywood North, Stander, A Love Song for Bobby Long and Paranoia 1.0.

From 2005 onwards Deborah Kara Unger’s been seen in films such as White Noise, Silent Hill, which was a 2006 release and 88 Minutes which released in the year 2008, later in the year 2010, another movie in which she starred, titled “The Way” was released. She was even seen in the TV series called Combat Hospital in the year 2011.
