Alison Stern is a television personality who is widely recognised as the ex-wife of legendary radio show producer cum host, Howard Stern.

Personal Life

Alison Stern was born on 26th May, 1954, as Alison Berns in a small village which was part of the suburban city of Newton, Massachusetts. She was a student at the famous Boston University and has graduated from there with social work degree. As a student at Boston University, she encountered her to be husband, Howard Stern. Stern was a student of Communications had approached Alison to work with him for a movie project that he was spearheading for the college, and it was during this movie project that the couple fell in love.

When both Alison and Howard were twenty-four years of age, they decided to get married on June 4, 1978 at the Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline. The couple became parents for the first time in the year 1983 when they had a daughter named Emily Beth. In the year 1986, the couple had another child named Debra Jennifer and later came the third child who they named Ashley Hade, she was born in the year 1993. The duo were married to each other for twenty-one long years before they separated in the year 1999.

Later in the year 2001, the couple applied for divorce and it marked the end of their twenty-three year long marriage. It is reported that the main reason for the couple splitting up is Howard’s passion for his work and lack of time spent as a family. While the couple were married Alison was a frequent face on Howard’s movies, videos and shows.

Post their divorce, Howard began dating Robin Givens and even Angie Everhart. Howard then met Beth Ostrosky, who is a socialite, model and television host. He dated her since the year 2000 and then he got engaged to her in 2007 and the following year in October, the couple got married in The Le Cirque restaurant, New York City.

Alison too was married once again, in 2001 to David Scott Simon who is a businessman. Alison’s previous husband, Howard Stern gained majority of his fame via his radio show ‘The Howard Stern Show’ which was first launched in 1986. Through the duration of his long and illustrious career, he has won a string of awards, including the ‘Billboard’s National Syndicated Air Personality Award’, an award that he has won eight times. He is currently popularly known to the youth as one of the judges on the TV show ‘America’s Got Talent’.

Career

The college time film that Alison and Howard worked on together was Alison’s first project in films. It was a movie that was based on Transcendental Meditation. Following that up, Alison has also worked on a string of various projects ranging from albums, talk shows , an autobiographical movie based on her husband, home videos and even on television, as a part of The Howard Stern Show , which was hosted and produced by her then husband Howard Stern.
