Rufus Sewell was born in the year 1967 on October 29 in Twickenham. Sewell’s father was a professional animator and his mother was a waitress and also an artist. His father was a popular animator and has even worked for many films. One of his father’s most popular film was Yellow Submarine. Sewell has grew up with his brother. When he was only five years old, his parents divorced. He had to move in with his mother and brother.
Sewell’s mother had to work hard to support the education and lifestyle of her children. Sewell went to the Orleans Park School to receive his education and later attended the West Thames College to pursue his bachelor’s degree. While in the university, his drama teacher was very impressed by his urge towards drama and has even sent him to an audition. Sewell took an admission at the Central School of Speech and Drama due to his interest towards acting.
Sewell was married to Yasmin Abdallah, an Australian fashion journalist for an year. After this, he married Amy Gardner and also have a son and a daughter from her. Sewell divorced his second wife in the year 2006.
Career
Rufus Sewell began his career with a theatre drama at the Central School of Speech and Drama. After seeing him at the Criterion Theatre, Winner chose him for casting in a film. He was seen in the BBC serial Middlemarch after this which earned him fame. Sewell was seen in several types of series and films like science fictions, romantic and many more. Sewell is best known for his plays at famous theatres.
