Born in a family of American football players, Mike Golic jr has followed in his father’s steps even as he currently works as a radio broadcaster at ESPN radio.

Personal Life

Born on 28th September 1989 to Mike and Christine Golic, Mike Golic jr got his name and other attributes from his dad. Mike being the first born son according to his biography has a brother, Jake who also played football at tight end position for Notre Dame. He also has a sister named Sydney Golic.

Golic having been born in Voorhees, New Jersey, attended Northwest Catholic High School in Connecticut. While there, Mike was an exceptional lineman for his high school’s football team and that earned him a selection to participate in the U.S Army All-American Bowl which was played in San Antonio in 2008. For his University education, Golic Jr attended Notre Dame University where he played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team. Zack Martin who is a famous NFL player was Mike’s teammate at the University.

While maintaining privacy in his life, it is known to the public that Golic Jr is not married and not in a relationship with anyone at the moment. He also has no record of any children. Mike enjoys having a low profile in the public eye and prefers having people mostly focus on his career and not the latter. Career

His dad being a former NFL player must have influenced Mike to take part in the sport. Mike’s football career began in high school when he played for the Northwest Catholic Indian team. Professionally he started off at Pittsburgh Steelers in 2013 where he signed a contract as an undrafted free agent. Mike played a season with the Steelers and a year later he made a move to New Orleans Saints, signing a two year deal.

Mike then joined the Arena Football League (AFL) playing for the Arizona Rattlers and in June 2016, Golic Jr joined the Montreal Alouettes after attending their training camp but was released by the club prior to the beginning of the season. Months after this occurrence, Mike announced his retirement while on air co-hosting The Dan Le Batard Show alongside Stugotz.

After retiring from football, Golic Jr joined ESPN radio as a broadcaster on a full-time basis. On radio, Mike is part of the First and Last show where he is a co-host. He has also made regular appearances on the Mike and Mike which is an American sports talk show as a co-host. With an annual salary of $405,000, Mike’s net worth is estimated to be at $ 1.5 million.
