Kristine Leahy is a widely popular American sports reporter and television host. Some of her most notable works include being the host for American Ninja Warrior, a show that airs on NBC. She is also the co-host newswoman of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, which is a Fox Sports 1 radio simulcast. In addition to the above, Leahy is also a reporter and anchor for KCBS-TV.

Personal Life

Kristine Leahy was born on October 16,1986 in Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America. An American citizen by birth she was born and raised in Chicago. In her family, she has her parents and two siblings, both brothers and younger to her in age. It was here that she gradually developed an interest in sports and related activities. Her favourite player from the Boston Red Sox was Coco Crisp and in basketball she was also a fan of the basketball legend Michael Jordan.

She spent a great part of her early life in Chicago with her family and as a student she attended the Prairie Ridge High School which is situated in Crystal Lake, Chicago, Illinois. Leahy then went on to attend Boston University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. As per her biography, Kristine is currently dating Aaron Hines. Aaron is a well known professional health trainer. The duo have been in a steady relationship for almost a year.

Career

As a student at Boston University, Leahy was on the team that is credited for creating BUTV’s first ever sports talk show and it was that very show that Leahy had anchored for three long years. Post her graduation, she became a host and also served as a reporter for the New England Sports Radio Station WEEI. Post this she was a reporter for the Boston Celtics and after this assignment she was the leading sports anchor for FOX Boston. As part of her job profile she had to cover all the sports teams in the Boston area.

In a bid to advance her career, Leahy moved in the year 2012 from Boston to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles she was part of various stints, even a sideline reporter for the March Madness Coverage on Turner Sports. However, Leahy’s breakthrough job was as a sideline reporter on American Ninja Warrior, which aired on NBC, the show itself was a spin-off of a Japanese TV series called Sasuke.

Her work on American Ninja Warrior did give her immense success and she was also noticed by Colin Cowherd, who was formerly a host on ESPN. He was about to begin a new show and he offered her the part of being a co-host on the new show. After accepting the offer made by Colin Cowherd, Kristine appeared on his new show by September 2015, the show was named The Herd with Colin Cowherd. It was aired on FOX sports 1 and FOX sports Radio. Her popularity as a TV host has gained her immense fame and as of 2017, her net worth is around 2 million USD.
