They have been successfully married for many years now and therefore it would not be wrong to mention that their personal life has been always smooth. Katherine was the nominee for the democratic party in the year 2013 special election and was nominated for the U.S. House of Representatives In Massachusetts 5th Congressional District. Clark came as a replacement for Ed Markey. Her nomination was supported by Martha Coakley Attorney and also won the endorsement of the EMILY’s List. She won the Primary with a plurality of around 32% of the vote. She easily won the special election on December 13, 2013.
Thus began her journey as a Congressional politician and since then she has never looked back winning quite a few other such contests. Kate was known for her clear ideological stand and in January 2017 she chose to boycott the inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump. Kate also is known to have engaged in some debates with Education Secretary Betsy Devos with regard to LGBT students rights.
