When she was only twenty eight, she became NBC news’s anchor at Sunrise. She was working as a substitute of Jane Pauley who was her co-host and of the host of Bryant Gumbel. She was also replacing Palmer on Today News desk. She substituted Tom Brokaw at NBC Nightly News. When she got named as a news anchor of NBC nightly, she became the third host but it was not official. Before and after the show, she would seat together with the hosts of the program.
When she appeared as a co-host for today, she became praised and also appreciated because of the work she had on NBC and CBS. She had hosted many radio programs and she got hired to appear at ABC radio network with the show named Deborah Norville – from her Home to Yours. After sometime, she started to appear at CBS Evening News. The street story got canceled in 1994 and the summer news magazine under the name of America Tonight started. She became a co-anchor with Dana King. In the year 1995, she got hired in the place of Bill O’Reilly at Fox News Channel.
In 2004, it was expected that Norville may start to anchor the prime time interview show at MSNBC. She was the host of many high profile interviews at the show and she was addressing the debate and topics that look controversial.
Besides being a presenter, Deborah Norville is a singer and she recorded a song called Keep on Moving in 2001. Deborah Norville got married to Karl Wellner since 1987 and she got three children. She is happy with her family and there are no rumors that they may divorce in the near future.
