Carnie Wilson was born on April 29, 1968 in Bel Air, located in the state of California in the country of the United States of America. She is the daughter of Brian Wilson and his first wife, Marilyn Rovell. Brian Wilson was a member of The Beach Boys while his wife, Marilyn Rovell was part of “The Honeys”. Since the year 2000, Carnie Wilson is married to the music producer and musician Robert Bonfiglio. Together the couple have two daughters named Lola Sofia Bonfiglio and Luciana “Luci” Bella Bonfiglio. With Lola being the older daughter who was born on April 22,2005 and Luciana, the younger daughter was born on June 12,2009.
Carnie Wilson’s uncles are the famous Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, she is even a cousin of the co-founder of Beach Boys, named Mike Love and his former NBA player-brother Stan Love. Throughout her lifetime, Carnie Wilson has suffered from obesity and Bell’s palsy, which was later diagnosed on March 18,2013.
Career
Carnie Wilson was a co-founder of Wilson Phillips along with her childhood friend and younger sister, named Chynna Phillips and Wendy, respectively. Wilson Phillips was formed whilst they were in their teens and they went on to release two albums named Shadows and Light, and Wilson Phillips, the two albums sold a total of 12 million copies, between themselves. Wilson Philips also charted No.1 singles thrice and even had six hit songs among the top 20 in the United States of America, before the group was dissolved in the year 1993.
Carnie Wilson and her sister Wendy, continued to record songs together even after the disbanding of their group. They released the album Hey Santa! during the Christmas season in the year 1993. In the year 1997, the sister-duo collaborated with their father for a commercially unsuccessful yet critically acclaimed album called The Wilsons.
In the year 2003, Carnie Wilson first made an attempt to launch her solo music career with the release of the album “For the First Time”. However the album was ultimately shelved when the first single of the album was released unsuccessfully and Carnie Wilson went on to regroup along with her sister Wendy and her childhood friend Chynna, as the Wilson Phillips once again in the year 2004.
Later when they reunited the band went on to release their third album called California which was a part of the record label by Sony Music. and then in the year 2006, Carnie Wilson released an album of lullabies which was dedicated to her newly born daughter named Lola.
More recently on the 26th of August 2017, Carnie Wilson has opened a commercial production bakery and a cafe named Love Bites by Carnie. A joint venture along with Tiffany Miller, who happens to be Carnie Wilson’s childhood friend.
