Samantha Mohr, presently well-known and recognized as an American meteorologist and TV celebrity, was born on 13th September in the year 1961. She drew the first breath in Columbus, Georgia, where she was born in a typical middle-class family.

Supposedly, Samantha Mohr studied at a local high school in Columbus, even though there is too little information about the primary education in her bio. Thereafter, she enrolled in the University of Georgia, from which she graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology. Moreover, she got a minor, too (in Audiology). In the same year, she became Miss Georgia and got a scholarship as big as $3,500. A large chunk of the scholarship she spent on her further studying in Texas. In particular, wiki claims that she enrolled in the University of St. Thomas, located in Houston, Texas. After her graduation from the university, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Meteorology.

Career Experience

Indeed, the career of Samantha Mohr began the very moment when she was chosen as Miss Georgia in 1985. At that time, she started to appear on TV as well as on public meetings and events. Since she won the contest in Georgia, Samantha Mohr became a representative of Georgia at the nationwide contest in 1986. However, she did not reach the top 10 of the candidates.

Moreover, she was an intern at the KRIV, a radio station owned by Fox TV, while she was studying at the University of St. Thomas. After her graduation in 1989, she went on to work at the KVTK TV station, located in Phoenix, Arizona. In Phoenix, she was an anchor of the “Good Morning Arizona”, a morning show. After spending many years in Phoenix, namely she had been working there for a dozen of years, the KPIX-TV channel, owned by CBS and based in California’s San Francisco, hired Samantha Mohr. At this channel, where Samantha Mohr worked in the period between 2001 and 2007, she got a position of a chief meteorologist.

Following her job at the KPIX-TV, she returned from San Francisco to her native Georgia. There, she, along with Bill Keneely and Dao Vu, co-hosted the “Weekend View” show on the Weather Channel. However, the outstanding way she hosted her previous shows prompted CNN International to hire her, and it was the brightest step in her career so far. She worked for CNN during the period between 2013 and 2015, where she was a meteorologist for the “Weekend Express” show. In 2015, Samantha Mohr left CNN and went to work for Atlanta’s WVIX-TV station.

For her excellent abilities of the meteorologist, she received a number of awards, including the AP Award, Emmy Award, and the Radio Television Director Award. Up to date, her net worth is believed to be between $300,000 and $400,000.

Personal life

Despite having a very beautiful and appealing appearance even at the age of 54 (one may see it in the pictures), Samantha Mohr confessed that she does not have a boyfriend. She dedicates all the time to her job. Samantha Mohr is remembered by many viewers also thanks to her hair, namely different hairstyles that she attempts to change as often as possible.
