Eileen Davidson, born Eileen Marie Davidson on 15th June 1959 in Artesia, California, is an U.S. actress, author, former model, and realty star, especially famous for her roles in soap operas on television. She performed outstandingly in her roles as Kristen DiMera in Days of Our Lives of NBC, and as Ashley Abbott in The Young and The Restless, and The Bold and Beautiful of CBS. Davidson got “Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” for her performance in Days of Our Lives in 2014. In 2000s, she wrote many mystery novels, and performed in the reality television shows.

Personal Life

Davidson has five siblings; she being the youngest. She was born to Richard Davidson (1915-1981), a manufacturer of airplane parts, and Charlotte (1922-2016), a housewife. She is a Roman Catholic by birth, and joined St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs, California.

She married three times. First, she married an actor Christopher Mayer in 1985, and it lasted up to 1986. She re-married Jon Lindstrom 1997, and the relationship ended in 2000. Both Mayer and Lindstrom were television stars of the show Santa Barbara with which Davidson was associated for two years. She divorced her first two husbands, and is presently in wedlock with Vincent Van Patten, tennis professional and commentator. They both have a son born on 20th May 2003, named Jesse Thomas. The couple had first met on the occasion of Patten’s appearance as Christian in The Young and the Restless in 2000.

Career

Davidson launched her career in modelling in California and Mexico City, and performed in commercials in Europe. She also trained in acting at Staircase Theatre, and performed as Ashley Abbott in The Young and The Restless in March 1982 outwitting over 100 aspirants. She also performed in many films in 1980s, notably in lead roles in The House on Sorority Row in 1983, and Easy Wheels in 1989.

Next, she joined primetime television. However, her show Broken Badges (1990-1991) had to be cancelled. In May 1993, she played the role of Kristen Blake on Days of Our Lives. She was the first star to perform five different characters simultaneously on daytime TV. For that feat of her, Davidson got nominated for Daytime Emmy award in 1998. In 1999, she resumed her role in The Young and The Restless from which she had been fired in 2006.

She tried her hand in designing, too, along with her niece Devon Martt. Her first novel, a mystery series, was published in October 2008. She is presently writing another book which is being co-authored by Bob Randisi. In 2014, she again joined The Young and the Restless on a two year contract. It was in the news on 12th June 2017, that she would re-join Days of Our Lives. Thus, she performed in wide variety of films and television shows, and received several awards and nominations. Her biography is replete with awards and accolades. Her net worth is estimated at $3 million.
