Edd China is a 46 year old TV presenter, inventor, motor specialist and mechanic from England who is best known for appearing on the show ‘Wheeler Dealers’. He appeared in this show from 2003 to 2017.

Personal life

Edd China graced the earth on 9th May, 1971 as Edward John ‘Edd’ China in London. He holds a British nationality and belongs to Caucasian ethnicity. Edd studied at King Edward’s School which is based in Surrey. Ever since his childhood, Edd had an inclination towards mechanics and cars which is why he went on to pursue a degree from London South Bank University in engineering product design.

Edd’s love for engineering allowed him to complete his first ever major project called Casual Lofa which he built while his stay at the university in order to raise money for an expedition to Belize. Besides his stupendous work, he also claimed his very first Guinness World Record of creating furniture in the least amount of time.

Edd China has been married to Imogen China who was his girlfriend for a very long time before the couple married. The married took place in a closed ceremony which was attended primarily by close family and friends.

Since it was a private ceremony, even the date of Edd’s marriage is not known to anybody. The couple hasn’t yet been blessed with any kids as of now. They are spotted many a times together in many public places. Edd China is an extrovert and an adventurous person. Career

Edd China got his debut role in 1994 on the show ‘Father Ted’. Following his fame in the show, he unexpectedly opened an outlet called ‘Cummfy Banana Limited’ where he began attempting world records. He made a guest appearance on ‘Top Gear Live’ in the year 1998 wherein he drove his first world record furniture ‘Casual Lofa’. The ‘Casual Lofa’ caught the attention of so many people that it even featured on the DVD ‘The Most Outrageous Jeremy Clarkson Video In the World… Ever!’ Subsequently, Edd appeared thrice on ‘The Big Breakfast’ in which he would be seen driving the Street Sleeper, Casual Lofa and Bog Standard.

Then in the year 2000, he starred as a guest in ‘Scrapheap Challenge’. Subsequently, he appeared in ‘This Your Life’ in which Edd gave a ride to Michael Aspel on the Casual Lofa. Two years later, he proved his immense love for mechanics by modifying a cheap Rover 800 car.

He appeared in various shows in 2007 such as ‘This Morning’, ‘Fifth Gear’ and ‘Pulling Power’ and can be seen displaying his creations which earned him a Guinness World Record. Edd co-presented a TV series named ‘Classic Car Club’ along with Alex Riley, Penny Mallory and Tony Mason in which they talk about the history of classic cars. Edd China’s appearance in various shows has helped him amass a net worth of $1.5 million.
