Cheryl Ladd is an American actress and author who was also a very good singer. She acted in the TV series Charlie’s Angels and played the role of Kris Munro as a replacement for Farah Fawcett. She had planned to have a career in music under the name of Cherie Moor but she finally came into acting and did it with great professionalism.

Cheryl Ladd was born on 12th July 1951 and grew up in Huron in the state of South Dakota and was the second daughter to her parents. Her mother was a waitress and her father was a railroad engineer. Cheryl is an American but has and English, Ashkenazi Jewish, German and distant Irish descent. The actress also had a brother named Seth and was a cheerleader during her school days.
In 1973, she met actor David Ladd, who was the son of the famous actor Alan Ladd and her marriage took place in 1974. She had a daughter with him and she named her Jordan Ladd after 2 years of marriage. However, they later got divorced in 1979 and then Cheryl started dating Brian Russell who was a music director.
Cheryl although was born with the last name of Stoppelmoor, she used the last name of her first husband. She got married to Brian in 1981 and also has a step daughter with him named Lindsay Russell. She is still going strong with Brian even after 30 years of blissful marriage and has set an example in the history of Hollywood celebrities where people get divorced after days or months.
Career
Cheryl started her first music band when she was a cheerleader at high school and named it “The Music Shop” band. She worked as a voice over artist for several programs like, Hanna Barbara’s Josie and the Pussycats and other commercials and TV series.
She wanted to take the name ‘Cherie Moor’ and launch herself in the music industry. She was given the chance to act in Charlie’s Angels as a replacement to Farah Fawcett after her demise and this made her a star within a short time. She also started acting in a lot of TV series like The Rookies, Happy Days, Police Woman and The Partridge Family at the beginning.
She sang the national anthem at the Superbowl XIV and also released 3 personal music albums. She has also had the opportunity to act in a few other movies like Permanent Midnight Millennium, Purple Hearts and Poison Ivy. She wrote her own biography in 2005 which was called ‘Token Chick: A Woman’s Guide to Golfing with Boys’. The actress was also seen recently in Unforgettable. She has a net worth of $8 million in the present day.
