Personal life
Catherine Herridge was born in the year 1964 on May 18th in America. She was the child of his Norwegian parents and had three siblings. Due to poverty, Herridge could not enjoy a luxurious life. At times, it was difficult for them to meet the daily needs of the family. It was not possible for her to take education from a very good institution due to the immense poverty. So, she had to go to a local school along with her siblings to get education. They used to live in a sub-urban area of the city where she had to compromise on quality of education.
Though Herridge belonged from a backward region of the country, she always kept herself updated with the daily news affairs. She also used to take a long walk in the afternoon to the library to fetch some books. Herridge loved to read different books on politics and also the biographies of some renowned public figures. She gathered information and knowledge from wherever she could.
Finally, she achieved a bachelor’s degree as well as a master's degree in journalism from the Harvard College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism respectively. After completing her education, she is pursuing a successful career. She is now married to Jeff Miller and is leading a happy married life with her two children. She is a very responsible mother and has also donated a part of her liver to her son who was suffering from billiary atresia in the year 2006.
Career
Catherine Herridge always wanted to become a successful journalist in her career. She started her initial career with the ABC News, in London. After working there for several years, she started working in the Fox Network Channel in the year 1996. It was due to her constant dedication and focus in her work that she received many promotions in the channel. She was offered the position of Chief Intelligence Reporter in the Department of Homeland Security in the channel.
The turning point in her career was her report regarding the terrorist attack of 9/11. She reported the whole incident of attack to the House of Intelligence Committee. This report fetched her much popularity and fame in her career. After this incident, she also got the chance to go to different countries such as Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and many others.
She has reported from many places abroad regarding the popular death issue of Princess Diana and also regarding the ethnic clashes. She also launched her own magazine from the Fox Channel named as Fox Files. She is the head of the magazine and has contributed to the case of misinterpretation regarding the Medicare.
Later, she was also awarded with a bronze medal for her valuable contribution to this matter. She has also established herself as an author by writing the book The Next Wave: On the Hunt for al Qaeda’s American Recruits which was inspired from her report regarding the terrorist attacks. She has also received much appreciation from her followers. Herridge, being a successful woman in her career, has a high net worth of 100,000 dollars per annum.
