Allison Chinchar, born on April 9th, 1984, is an American Sophisticated and Meteorologist. Since the year 2008 she has been into weather forecasting as a professional meteorologist. Chinchar,who was born in Mansfield, Ohio is known to be vibrant and very talented. Her active participation in the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), AMS(American Metrological Society) and the NWS(National Weather service) is widely appreciated.

Allison Chinchar graduated from the Ohio State University, which is also her hometown. Allison Chinchar is married to fellow Meteorologist Michael “Mike” Bettes. Bettes, was previously involved with and even supposedly married to co-host Stephanie Abrams. However, this is Chinchar’s first marriage, with details of her past are scarcely known to the media and general public.
Allison Chinchar and Mike Bettes were supposedly dating for a few years before they eventually got married in October 2012. The lack of specifics of their relationship can be attributed to Chinchar’s dislike for disclosing details of her personal life on a public platform. However, since both of them are powerful personalities as meteorologists marriage after years of dating was termed inevitable by their viewers.
On July 26, 2014, a tweet by 11Alive News broke the news of Chinchar’s pregnancy to the world. While Mike Bettes, on January 31, 2015, announced the birth of their first child, a son named Landen Benjamin Bettes, via Twitter along with a picture of the newly born. The couple currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
Career
Chinchar’s first stint as a meteorologist was with Buckeye TV in the year 2006, where she jointly produced and anchored weather conditions. Chinchar then moved on to WCMH TV where she was a daily forecast reporter.
In the year 2008, she began working for WTVC-TV where she produced and anchored another daily forecast show until 2010.It was in 2011, that Chinchar began working with WKRN in Tennessee, following which she quickly moved on to WXIA-TV in Atlanta where she worked as a meteorologist from 2012 to 2015.Shortly after the birth of her son, Allison Chinchar quit her job at WXIA-TV in January 2015 and joined CNN on June 1, 2015, the same year and has continued to work there ever since as a fill-in anchor.
Chinchar also has had the opportunity to work with her husband and fellow meteorologist Mike Bettes, On December 22, 2015 they worked together for the first time ever for The Weather Channel.
In her decade long career , Chinchar was a part of the 11 Alive’s weather team which is popularly known as the Storm Tracker. Chinchar also covered a variety of critical and harsh weather conditions, the April 2010 tornado outbreak, Hurricane Issac that came ashore the U.S state of Louisiana in August 2012 and the Chickamuga Dam Tornado are a few to be named.
