Maximillian S. Shifrin, more popularly known as Max Shifrin is a lawyer based out of New York, U.S.A . Shifrin, who is currently working with Baker & Hosteler LLP, New York is prominently featured in the media along with wife Sara Haines, who is the co-host of the popular American talk show “The View”.
Shifrin met his then to-be wife Sara Haines through the online dating website OKCupid. Haines, who was then the anchor for the television show “Good Morning America” revealed in an interview in 2014, that she registered on the dating site only because it was free and had suitable help from her brother and a close friend. Despite cancelling the original date, the two met for a few rounds of drinks and took to each other very quickly. Within a year of the date night, they began living together and on November 22nd, 2014, Max Shifrin married Sara Haines in the Bahamas. They currently reside in Brooklyn.
The couple has two children together, their first born, a son named Alec Richard Shifrin, whose birth was announced by Shifrin on the popular application called Periscope, was born on March 5, 2016. and subsequently Haines announced that the couple was expecting their second child, on the June 20, 2017 episode of “The View”. On December 23rd, that year Haines gave birth to their second child, a baby girl named Sandra Grace Shifrin. In addition to this they also have two chihuahuas as pets.
Shifrin is known to have a love-hate relationship with his wife’s peppy personality. Haines has publicly stated that at times, Shifrin is annoyed by the very personality that has helped her connect with her audiences on the Television.
Shifrin has graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. Following which he earned his Juris Doctor Degree in Law from the Brooklyn Law School in the year 2010.
On the work front, Shifrin worked as a legal intern at the United States District Court For the Eastern District of New York for 5 months from Aug 2008-Dec 2008. Following which he was a student prosecutor at the United States Attorney’s Office for eleven months from August 2009 to June 2010. In 2011, he became an associate at Fried Frank, New York. Where he continued to work until March 2013, when he moved on to Storch Amini & Munves as an associate.
Currently, he is an associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP, where he has continued to work since June 2014. Shifrin has listed Appeals, Civil Litigation, Legal Writing, Westlaw, Legal Research, Litigation and Criminal Law as his strong suites on his LinkedIn page. Apart from this, Shifrin is also fluent in three languages namely, English, French and Russian.
