Shannon Sharpe is a retired NFL tight end who represented Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens. He was also well known as an NFL analyst for CBS. He is also a co-host for “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed”.

Personal Life:
Born to Mary Alice Dixon and Pete Sharpe on July 26, 1986, in Chicago, Shannon is the brother of NFL star wide receiver Sterling Sharpe. Shannon was brought up in a modest family in Georgia. He was once heard joking, “We were so poor, a burglar once broke into our house and we ended up stealing from the burglar.” Sharpe has a studied criminal justice in the Savannah State College.
While in college he was actively involved in playing football and basketball. He also participated in jumping and throwing events in the track and field. Shannon is said to be in a relationship with Katy Kellnar who is a fitness instructor at flywheel sports. Katy and Shannon got engaged in 2016. Reports about their marriage are still unverified.
Career:
Sharpe was chosen by the Denver Broncos while he was perusing his degree in Savannah State. He stayed affiliated with NFL for 14 seasons thereon. Sharpe, during his tenure in NFL, was a diligent player who kick-started his day with yoga and Pilates and maintained a stringent diet. Sharpe was chosen in the 7th round of the NFL draft in 1990. As a neophyte in NFL, he was a wide receiver and his performance during his first year was mediocre. Shannon’s real breakthrough was in his third season in NFL when he received 53 catches for 640 yards, for his team. The same year he received a Pro Bowl Nod.
During the nineties, Shannon was one of the best tight ends in NFL. In 1994 he received 87 catches surpassing his previous achievements. While in the Denver Broncos he led his team to victory in two championship rings: Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII. After these championships, he joined Baltimore Ravens in 1999 for whom he won one more Championship Ring in Super Bowl XXXV. He continued to play for the Baltimore Ravens for 2 years after which he returned to the Denver Broncos. In all, he played in 204 regular season games and was a part of 4 AFC championship games.
His carrier off the field was that of a commentator in the pregame show hosted on CBS Sports. He also appeared on the Spring Halftime Report and the Subway Postgame Show. Shannon was one of the players to be nominated to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. On February 6, 2011, he was inducted in The Pro Football Hall of Fame. Shannon has been on the cover of September 2013 issue of the FitnessRX magazine for men. He is also a spokesperson and a columnist for the FitnessRX magazine. Shannon co-hosts the Opening Drive program alongside Bob Papa on NFL Radio. His current net worth is estimated to be somewhere around $8 million with a salary of $900000.
