Starting with something broken
When something's broken, a better one is definitely coming your way. Fate played a big role in putting Joanna and Chip together. They started one day when Chip's car had a brake failure. He then rushed into an automobile shop to get it fixed, which happens to be owned by Joanna's father. Chic confessed that he fell in love with Joanna the moment that he saw her picture at her father's shop. From there, the two started dating and officially became couples.
After some time of being together, they got married on March 31, 2003. Knowing that they share similar interests, the first thing they did after marriage was to buy their first house. They used this hoise as a model house to show their passion in transforming a simple unit to an amazing jaw-dropping property. Thru this, together, they top-billed the reality TV show "Fixer Upper".
Aside from this, they also have several other businesses named Magnolia Market, Magnolia Table, Magnolia Realty, Magnolia Magazine and even wrote a book about their life experiences about marriage, family and business. The book was called Magnolia Story. The name "Magnolia" was derived from a story back when they were still dating, when Chip would give her flowers picked from Magnolia trees. Now, they've been together for 15 years and were given two sons, Drake and Duke, and two daughters, Ella and Emmie.
Sudden Change of Plans
Getting their clients involved thru the client's personal touches on their projects and walking them through the entire process made the couple love "Fixer Upper" even more. Not to mention the fact that they get to change their client's lives and make their dream homes a reality while making a big contribution in making their town, Waco, a beautiful and modern place for the residents to be proud of.
However in 2017, the couple was charged with fraud lawsuit which could be the reason why they announced that they will be ending the show and that there will no longer be additional episodes in the future. It was April of 2018 when they wrapped up their final episode of the show. Following the end of the hit reality TV show, a spinoff Fixer Upper : Behind the Design, will be aired which will focus mostly on Joanna's works behind the scene.
The Reason Behind
The reason behind their quick decision was that they wanted to focus more on their family life and their other businesses. The couple mentioned that they wanted to spend more time with each other, considering all the items on their plate right now, we can bet that they barely have time for each other. There have been rumours about divorce too but the couple just laughs the rumors off and just showed the world how happy and contented they are with each other.
