Eivin Kilcher was born on 6th March 1984 in Alaska, USA. His father is the famous TV reality show actor Otto Kilcher and his mother was Sharon McKemie who divorced his father in 1987 while he was only 3 years old. He stays with his step mother Charlotte. He is of an American Nationality but his ethnicity is European American as it is said that his grandparents left their homes at Switzerland and settled in Alaska at the beginning of the 20th century. He has a full brother named Levi but his terms with him is not that good. Instead, he likes to spend more time with his half brother Torrey.
Eiven completed his education from Homer High School in 2001 and he got married to his childhood sweetheart Eve, whom he had been seeing for a long time. She studied in the same school as Eivin and came over to spend her summer vacations with her father whose place was very near to the Kilchers’ house. They got married and had two children afterwards, a son named Findlay and a daughter named Sparrow Rose. There has been no instance of any biography that has been written on him.
Career
Eivin has a career of a farmer and a survivor who uses no modern technology to run his life. He stars as a cast in the show on Discovery Channel which is called The Alaska: The Last Frontier which is running its sixth season and started from way back in 2011. Before that in 2015, he starred at a commercial for the television. He lives a simple life in Alaska with his wife and two children and stays in a separate cabin that was made entirely by him. In the series, Eivin is shown to be involved in the daily works of the household in a different way from that in the cities.
They do not have the luxuries of heating and the plumbing provisions for themselves and live on how the people used to live earlier. Kilcher has chosen to stay in the traditional and old way where the men used to gather food by fishing and hunting a moose or a deer. Eivin is also a very skilful and experienced farmer and grows crops all throughout the 8 cold months to provide for his wife and children.
Both Eivin and his wife have written a cookbook called Homestead Kitchen: Stories and Recipes from our Hearth to Yours which came out in 2016. This is a book about the recipes which are made out of simple ingredients and to sustain with health and live independently. The net worth of Eiven and his wife is around $2 million.
