Colin Hanks, born as Colin Lewes Dillingham in Sacramento, California on 24th November 1977, is a U.S. actor. He adopted his surname Hanks only after his parents married in 1978. He is active since 1996, and got Theater World Award in 2009. He is especially famous for his role as “Jack Bailey” and “Alex Whitman” in a series entitled The Good Guys in 2010, and in the movie Roswell respectively. He was among the 25 hottest bachelors declared by People Magazine in 2003.

Personal Life

His father is Tom Hanks, also an actor, and mother, actress Samantha Lewes who passed away in 2002 of cancer. His sister, born in 1982, is named Elizabeth. He also has half-brothers namely Chester born in 1990 and Truman born in 1995 who are born after the second marriage of his father to Rita Wilson, another actress. Hanks joined Sacramento Country Day School, and attended later Chapman University in Orange County where his father shot the film That Thing You Do. A little later, he joined Loyola Marymount University. The paternal grandmother of Colin came off Portuguese descent whereas the mother of his maternal grandfather had Jewish and Polish ancestry. Hence, the other roots of Hanks are Scottish, English, German, and Irish.

Hanks married Samantha Bryant, a New York publicist, and they have together two daughters namely Olivia Jane Hanks, born on 1st February 2011 and Charlotte Bryant Hanks, born 2nd July 2013. There is no record that he ever divorced his wife. He had his dad, his stepmother, Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon, and Alyssa Milano as guests during his marriage. He bought a modest house of two bed-rooms in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles for a hefty sum of $1, 25,000 in 2009.

Career

He started his career with a small role in a fictional set The Wonders. It was in the year 2000 that he came to the cinema world through the comedy Whatever the Cost. In the next year, he played a role in a comedy entitled This is Love.

In 2001, he became more famous when he participated in the HBO Band of Brothers. He acted as Alex Whitman in Rosewell from 1999 to 2001. He was much appreciated for his act in the movie This Is Our Youth in 2002, and during the same year, he also acted in Orange County, a comedy. His versatile talent was once again in the fore in 2003 when he participated in the 11:14-Fatal destiny, a thriller series depicting incidents occurring subsequent to car accident.

He debuted as a co-producer for the film Rx in the year 2004. Right through 2007 to 2010, he acted in many films that include Careless (2007), Hidden Trail (2008), and High School in 2010 to name just a few. During the period between 2013 and 215, he had been busy with Puppy Petrol Card, and he played the part of a police officer in the much acclaimed series of Fargo. His biography on record shows his net worth as $15 million.
