Charlie Day was born on the 9th of February in the year 1976, as Charles Peckham Day. He was born in New York City, in the state of New York, in the country of the United States of America, thereby making him an American citizen by birth. While Charlie Day’s father, a man named, Dr. Thomas Charles Day, is a retired professor of music history, by profession, at the Salve Regina University in the city of New Port in Rhode Island, Charlie Day’s mother taught the piano at The Pennfield School located in Portsmouth in Rhode Island. Charlie Day’s father is of Italian and Irish descent while his mother is of Welsh, Irish and English ancestry.
Charlie Day was a student at the Pennfield School and is a graduate from the Portsmouth Abbey School. In the year 1998, Charlie Day earned his bachelor’s degree from the reputed Merrimack College located in North Andover, in the state of Massachusetts. In his college years, one of the summers, Charlie Day attended the training program at Williamstown Theatre Festival.
Charlie Day got married to Mary Elizabeth Ellis on the 4th of March in the year 2006. The couple first met in the year 2001 and began dating by the year 2004 when they were co-stars on the show Reno 911!. It was on this show that the duo starred as incestuous siblings. In the year 2011, Mary Elizabeth Ellis gave birth to the couple’s first child, a boy, who was named Russell Wallace.
Career
Charlie Day is immensely popular for his role of Charlie Kelly on the hit TV show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His other famous role is that of Dale in the sleeper hit of 2011, Horrible Bosses and it’s sequel which released in the year 2014. Some of his other popular roles are in films such as The Lego Movie which released in the year 2014, Pacific Rim and Monsters University, both of which released in the year 2013. More recently Charlie Day was seen in films such as Fist Fight which released in the year 2017 and Pacific Rim Uprising, which was released as recently as 2018. In addition to his acting career, Charlie Day operates as a producer for TV shows.
