Earlier, she was seen on the MSNBC network in the role of an anchor for the daytime show called “Now with Alex Wagner”. The show was aired for 6 years from 2011 to 2015.

Alex Wagner was born as Alexandra Swe Wagner on the 27th of November in the year 1977 in the city of Washington D.C in the country of the United States of America. Alex Wagner has been an American citizen from birth and has been raised in the city of Washington DC itself. Alex Wagner’s mother, a woman named Tin Swe Thant is naturalised citizen of the United States of America, however she actually is an immigrant from Rangoon, Myanmar (earlier known as Burma).

Alex Wagner’s father, a man named Carl Wagner, hailed from the city of Lansing in Iowa is originally of Irish and Luxembourgish descent. Carl was a well known political consultant who worked with the Democratic Party and even co-chaired the presidential campaign for former President, Bill Clinton. Alex Wagner was a student at the Woodrow Wilson High School and later she went on to become a graduate from Brown University in the year 1999. At Brown University, Alex Wagner studied literature and art history.

Alex Wagner is married to Sam Kass since August 30,2014. Sam Kiss was the nutrition policy advisor and assistant chef. The couple got married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a well known restaurant located in the Pocantico Hills, New York. Former US President Barack Obama was present at their wedding ceremony as well. In the year 2017, Alex Wagner gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son named Cy.

Career

Alex Wagner began by working at the Centre for American Progress, as the cultural correspondent. Alex Wagner has also served as the editor-in-chief from the year 2003 to 2007 for the Fader magazine. Her job required her to cover the various cultural movements and music from the various parts of the world. Later on, Alex Wagner also went on to become the executive director of the Not On Our Watch Project, which was an advocacy organisation that focused on Human Rights Violations and mass atrocities.

Alex Wagner even worked with Politics Daily in the capacity of the White House correspondent. Later she moved on to the Huffington Post. Apart from this Alex Wagner has been actively contributing to The Atlantic as an editor and she also works closely with CBS News as a contributor.
