Sarah Silverman, born Sarah Kate Silverman on 1st December 1970, is an American actress, stand-up comedian, writer, and producer. Her comedy aims at sarcastically exposing controversial topics and social taboos such as sexism, racism, religion, and politics. She has been awarded Primetime Emmy Awards twice for her roles on television. She has appeared in many TV shows like VIP and Mr. Show, to name just a few. She has also been a writer of repute, and, she published her autobiography entitled The Bedwetter in 2010.

Personal Life
Silverman was born to Donald Silverman and Beth Ann who died in 2015. She spent her early life in Manchester, New Hampshire. Beth, her mother, was the personal campaign photographer of George McGovern. Her Parents divorced each other, and they again married with others later. Silverman has five siblings, and she is the youngest of all. She belongs to a Jewish family, and thinks her to be non-religious and secular.
She declared that she won’t ever marry, but dated the co-star Dave Attell, and later in 2002 Jimmy Kimmel. It was reported by Vanity Fair that the couple parted ways in July 2008, but soon news came that they were again on the path of recovering the relationship. They attended together a wedding party of Beth Ostrosky and Howard Stern. During the Emmy Awards in 2014, she herself admitted to be in a relationship with Michael Sheen, the Welsh actor. In February 2018, she admitted the breaking up of the relationship over spending holidays.
Career
Silverman started her stint in film and TV with stand-up comedy in 1992, and participated in Saturday Night Live’s during 1993-94 as a featured player and writer for a period of 18 weeks. She was dismissed after one season over the quality of her sketches. It was surmised that Sarah could not come out of her personal self and live the character she had been portraying. She starred in another TV show called The New Writer in 1996.
Next, she performed in Mr. Show, the HBO Sketch Comedy, during 1995-1997. She appeared in several programmes on TV as guest appearances such as in Star Trek: Voyager, Greg the Bunny, and Crank Yankers. She released a film Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic in 2005 which was directed by Liam Lynch and distributed by Roadside Attractions. The film got positive ratings of 64% in 84 reviews. It was a hit on the box office, and amassed $1.3 million.
Her television serial The Sarah Silverman Program began to be aired in February 2007 and the series boasted of viewers to the tune of 1.81 million. Many actors of the television show Mr. Show co-starred in this serial. Silverman got nomination for Primetime Emmy Award for her performance in the show. In 2011, she performed as Geraldine in Take This Waltz along with Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen. Thus, her biography is replete with achievements and performances that have resulted in his net worth of $12 million.
