Born in the year of 1975on the 29th of January in California in Santa Monica, Sara is a national of the United States of America and is a devout Jew of the Ashkenazi Jewish clan.
Sara’s birth name was Sara Rebecca Abeles and she happens to be the daughter of Barbara Cowan who is her mother and Harold Abeles who is her father. Sara happens to have a total of four siblings who are all elder to her. Two are from her father’s previous marriage and two are from her mother’s previous marriage. Ara has her last name from her mother’s first husband named Paul Gilbert. Sara is the third-generation actress from her family. Sara has decided that she follow all her elder siblings in the field of acting.
Sara attained her graduation degree in the year of 1997 having majored in the field of Arts.
Career
Sara secured her first role making a portrayal if Darlene Conner at the ripe age of 13 where she made a depiction of a sarcastic second child, in the tv series Rosanne of which she was a part of 9 years in which she wrote an episode in the fourth season called the Don’t Make me Over. The producers of the show made a lot of changes to the storyline which allowed Sara to pursue her studies.
Sara has made guest appearances and cameos in various tv shows which include Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Will & Grace, 24 and the Simpsons. Sara made a comeback to sitcoms with the tv series Twins on the popular WB network. She also made a recurring appearance on the CBS sitcom called the Class as the character Fern Velch. Sara has made various guest appearances in the popular CBS tv series known as the Big Bang Theory for a period of about 3 years. Sara is now a part of the how’s main cast in it’s second season.
Sara also happens to be a co host and also the executive producer of the late night tv show, The Talk. Sara won the Emmy award for Daytime in the year of 2016 for the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show.
