Richard Marx, born Richard Noel Marx on 16th September 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, has been a record producer, songwriter, pop singer, and musician. As a record producer, he has sold more than 30 million records. He is credited with a series of hit singles in the 1980s and 1990s. These singles include Right Here Waiting, Endless Summer Nights, At the Beginning, Hazard, and Now and For Ever. Many of his hit songs have been ballads, and several in Classic Rock Style.

Personal Life

Marx was born to Dick Marx and Ruth Jeannette Guildoo, a singer. His father has been a jazz pianist. He has three half siblings; the children of his father’s previous marriage. He had been interested in music since his very childhood, and actually started his music career at a tender age of 5. He is a U.S. national, but of mixed ethnicity comprising German, French, Irish, Scottish, remote Welsh, and remote English. As for his education, he did his graduation from the North Shore Country Day School.

Marx married Cynthia Rhodes, a dancer, singer, and actress on 8th January 1989. They have together three male children namely Lucas, Brandon, and Jesse. However, he divorced his wife after 25 years of marriage in April 2014. He married again another lady named Daisy Fuentes in Aspen, Colorado on 23rd December 2015. This news is official as it is mentioned there on his Facebook page. They had come together in 2014, and dated each other for around a year before getting married. Since then they are leading a peaceful married life together. As for his body measurement, Marx is 5’10’” in height, has dark brown hair, and green eyes. Other details are not available.

Career

Marx started his career in music as a playback singer for different artists. He also wrote songs and sang for others in the background. At the same time, he pursued his record deal. Consequently, his first self-titled album was out in the market in June 1987. Again, in May 1989, he brought out his another album entitled “Repeat Offender”.

By now, he has brought out at least 9 more albums so far. His other albums comprise “Christmas Spirit”, “Beautiful Goodbye”, “Emotional Remains”, and “Sundown” to mention just a few. Also, he participated in a PBS TV series entitled “Songwriters In The Round Presents: Legends & Lyrics” in June 2008. In 2016-2017, he sang a song entitled “Right Here Waiting” on Australian Television in a commercial of HotelsCombined. The sale of his records has crossed 30 million.

He has also played in several movies and television serials, and these include “Back In The Day”, “Life in Pieces”, “Stories to Tell”, and “Night Out with Friends” to name just a few. He was awarded the Grammy Awards in the Song of the Year category in 2004. He was also awarded ASCAP Award in the year 1990. Additionally, he was also nominated for the Grammy Award in 1986. As per his biography, his net worth is estimated at $18 million.
