Personal Life
Karen was born in Gary, Indiana, United States. She attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where she completed her graduation. When Karen was part of her band Little Big Town she met her to-be husband Jimi Westbrook. Gradually over the release of a few albums and live performances she became close to Westbrook, and then slowly their closeness turned into love and eventually the duo got married.
Karen has been married previously and it was in 2002 shortly after the release of the band’s first album Karen began the procedure to divorce her first husband. It was also when fellow band member Philip Sweet was getting a divorce. It was after she took a divorce from her first husband that she and Jimi Westbrook started getting closer and as fans observed, bandmates had turned into soulmates! It was the common love for music that had united them.
Fairchild got married for the second time, when she and Westbrook exchanged vows in a very private ceremony in Nashville. Nor did the media neither did the public get to know about the marriage until almost two months after the wedding. Four years after get married, the couple was blessed with their first child, a son named Elijah Dylan Westbrook on March 5th, 2010.
The duo has proclaimed their love for one and another on several interviews, going on to say that they are an extremely happy family. They frequently post updates about their personal moments on various social media platforms.

Karen Fairchild is the founding member of the band Little Big Town along with fellow Samford University student Kimberly Schlapman (nee. Roads) . The band has comprised of the same four members since its inception including Fairchild’s current husband Jimi Westbrook. The band follows its unique style of alternating all the four members as lead vocalists.
The band began with its first album named after itself in the year 2002, and some of their more recent works include Wanderlust (2016, The Breaker (2017). All the albums released by the band have contributed to the 24 singles on Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs including the chart topping singles “Girl Crush”, “Better Man" and “Pontoon” along with songs part of the top 10 “Bring It On Home”, “Boondocks”,“Day Drinking", "Tornado", and “Little White Church”.
The band is hugely popular for all the member’s unique voices and the camaraderie that they share. They consider themselves to be a family and despite the highs and lows that the band has seen over the years they have faced it together boldly setting an example for all the other bands who have members with fragile egos and break-up easily. Karen and Jimi’s off stage chemistry along with their on stage vibe has gone down well with the audience and is the USP of the band on the whole.
