Redick’s mother is Jeanie and his father happens to be Ken Redick. His name at birth was Jonathan Clay JJ Redick. Redick has a brother who is younger to him who’s name happens to be David and two elder sisters who happens to be twins named Alyssa and Catie.

Redick completed his schooling from the Cave Spring High School based out of Roanoke in the state of Virginia where he received the honor as the McDonald’s All-American stars. After having completed his high school education, Redick went on to receive his higher education from the famed Duke University where he did his majors in the subject of History and also a minor in the cultural anthropology. Redick faced widespread controversy after having gotten his girlfriend, who happens to be a model by occupation, pregnant. They signed an exclusive contract.

Career

Redick began playing basketball on a professional level as soon as he completed his graduation. Redick has been extremely active in the field of sports right from the year of 2006 and still continues to play up to today. Redick began playing for the famous Orlando Magic but it turned out to be a frustrating affair for him since they did not let him play in any of their main games. He enquired with his agents on whether a trade was possible, but the head coach expressly denied any such trade until the expiry of the deadline.

Later in the year, on June 13, he was detained and fined one thousand dollars for drunk driving. 4 years later he was offered 19 million dollars from the Chicago Bulls on a three-year contract, but Magic countered with the same and kept his rights. In February 2013, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, but left just after being acquired by the Los Angeles Clippers. From July 10, 2013, he accepted a twenty-seven-million-dollar deal for a period of four years with the Los Angeles Clippers, and played wearing the number four.
