Jackie Christie is an American fashion designer, reality TV star, author, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Jackie is the wife of famous basketball star, Doug Christie. Jackie is famous for her role in VH1’s Basketball Wives, where she has a reputation as the most controversial cast member on the series.

Early Life
Jackie was born in Seattle, Washington, on the 7th of July 1969. She attended Mark Morris School in Longview and then went on to Rainier Beach in Seattle. Jackie attended college at college in Pepperdine, graduating in 1992.
Professional Career/Rise to Fame
Jackie's rise to fame began with her marriage to popular basketball star, Doug Christie. It was Jackie's status as wife of an NBA player that secured her a place on Basketball Wives LA, a popular reality series.
Afterwards, Jackie, together with her husband, Doug, went on to start their own reality series, The Christies: Committed. However, the series was short lived.
In 2007, Jackie launched No Ordinary Love: A True Story of Marriage and Basketball, a book based on her marriage to Doug and their children (Co-authored with Doug). After that, Jackie went on to publish four other books: Proud to be a Colored Girl, In The Land of Sex, Sexual Relations, and Luv-Pons.
Jackie also ventured into entrepreneurship, starting Slayed by Jackie Christie, a fashion line, as well as two other companies: Jean Fya Records and BSM Media.

Jackie got married to her long term boyfriend, Doug Christie, on the 7th of August, 1996. Doug is a famous NBA star who played for Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and a number of other NBA teams. With a nineteen year marital union, Jackie and Doug have enjoyed a long and fruitful engagement. Their union is one of the few among public figures that has stood the test of time.
Prior to her marital engagement to Doug, Jackie had a daughter from a previous affair. Jackie's mother who has been a guardian to Takari during the periods that Jackie was on the road with Doug, passed away in 2012. The couple have two children, Chantel Christie and Douglas Christie Jr.
Jackie has a huge social media following. She has over 300,000 followers on photo and media sharing app, Instagram; and approximately 700,000 followers on Micro blogging site, Twitter. Jackie created a stir when her top less pictures accidentally appeared on Instagram. Christie immediately deleted the pictures when she figured out but not until some followers had downloaded the images and began to share it on various websites. She later admitted that it was an accidental occurrence.
