Born in the year of 1987 on the 3rd of March, Holly was born as Holly Niederkohr in the city of Marysville in the state of Ohio in the United States of America. Her parents happen to be father Dan Sonders and mother Sandy Niederkohr. Holly also happens to have a brother.
Holly began to play golf from a very young age. In her high school years, Holly earned honors in all district matches as well as all league matches for a period of 4 years and had been named the MVP or the Most Valuable Player for her league as well as her district. Aside from Golf, Holly had also been an active player of Basketball as well as Baseball in her high school days.
Holly earned her majors in the field of Journalism from the famous Michigan State University and won many titles and achievements there. Holly completed her senior year at MSU with a phenomenal score of 47.47 average career stroke and was the most experienced athlete at her university by having earned a total of 77 collegiate played rounds.
Career
Holly changed her name to Holly Sonders from Holly Niederkohr during the journey of her professional career. Holly suffered a knee injury while playing golf in college and had to undergo a surgery for her knee. This injury rendered her unable to play and her degree in the field of journalism assisted her in landing a job in the field of broadcasting.
Holly wanted to land a job on golf tv right out of college but she had been told that she needed to garner enough experience on tv first. As a result, Holly moved base to little rock where she worked as a broadcaster for a period of one year and then got herself a job at the famous Golf Channel in the year of 2011.
There at Golf channel, Holly earned herself a lot of fame and recognition by being a host for shows such as Playing Lessons with the Pros, School of Golf and Morning Drive. She was also on the cover of Golf Digest which happens to be a popular online golf magazine in the year of 2013.
