Career and Net Worth

In 1952, an 8-year-old Knight framed "the Pips" with her brother and sister, Merald and Brenda, and two cousins, Elenor and William Guest. Other cousins, Edward Patten, and Langston George later joined the gathering, after Brenda and Elenor left to get married. With youthful Gladys providing the throaty vocals and the Pips providing noteworthy harmonies and enlivened dance routines, the gathering before long earned a spot on the supposed "Chitlin Circuit" in the South, opening for famous acts like Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke.

After the group opened for R&B legends during the 1950s, they then made a move for Motown to become stars of pop music. She became a legend in the R&B genre with a catalog filled with classic tracks.
