Den Lemon, a renowned journalist and anchor of the TV news at the present time, was born on 1st March in the year 1966. His biography began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he drew the first breath in a middle class family. Concerning his childhood, however, it is only known that Don Lemon has Congolese, Cameroonian, Nigerian, and Creole roots. Education

At first, Don Lemon studied at the Baker High School, located in the neighboring town of Baker, Louisiana. Thereafter, he studied at the Louisiana State University with a major in journalism. Don Lemon later headed to New York to continue his journalistic studies at the Brooklyn College.

Career Experience

While studying at the college in New York, Don Lemon was hired by the WNYW channel, affiliated with Fox, as a news assistant. This way started his career. Later, however, the young journalist could not enjoy the permanent residence in New York, as he pursued to develop his career and started seeking it throughout the country. The first such destination of his was the WBRC TV station in Alabama’s Birmingham, where he worked as a weekend anchor. A similar job he had at the WCAU channel, his next place of work.

Thereafter, he improved quite noticeably and received an offer from the KTVI channel, stationed in St. Louis, for which he worked as an investigative reporter. After spending a period of time there, he came back to Birmingham to work at the channel as an anchor on weekdays.

Following his work in various states, he came back to New York, a non-declared capital of the media business, where he got employed by the NBC News. At the NBC News, he was a correspondent for various shows including the “NBC Nightly News” and “Today.” Moreover, he also worked as an anchor on the MSNBC and “Weekend Today.” In 2003, he became a reporter and a local co-anchor at the NBC’s WMAQ-TV station, located in Chicago, Illinois.

Don Lemon made the biggest and most crucial step in his career in 2006 when he joined CNN. After having a good start at the channel, he grew his authority and popularity significantly enough to voice against the channel’s policy as well as to criticize even African American community. Despite that, his program under the title “CNN Tonight with Don Lemon” has not seen a noticeable outflow of viewers. Don Lemon has been a host of the show up to now.
