Tom Hanks was born on the 9th of July, 1956 in the city of Concord located in California, having graduated from Chabot College and the California State University.

Tom Hanks has been married twice, first to Samantha Lewes, it was with her that he has two children, Colin and Elizabeth Hanks. Post the divorce Tom Hanks got married to Rita Wilson. The couple together have two sons.

Career

Tom Hanks is particularly known for his performances in dramatic and comedic films such as Big (which released in 1988), Splash (which released in 1984), Turner & Hooch (which released in 1989), Sleepless in Seattle (which released in 1993), A League of Their Own (which released in 1992), Apollo 13 (which released in 1995), The Green Mile (which released in 1999), You’ve Got Mail (which released in 1998), Cast Away (which released in 2000), and Road To Perdition (which released in 2002).

Later in the current decade Tom Hanks is credited with films such as Captain Phillips (which released in 2013), Cloud Atlas (2012), Saving Mr. Banks (which released in 2013), Sully (which released in 2016).
