Teddy Geiger was born on September 16, 1988, in Rochester, New York. Geiger is the offspring of John Theodore Geiger I and Lorilyn Geiger.
Teddy was first observed in the entertainment industry as a finalist in VH1's 2004 reality series In Search of the Partridge Family. Teddy was the opening act for Hilary Duff's late spring 2005 tour called Still Most Wanted. In February 2006. Geiger's first single, "For You I Will (Confidence)", was authoritatively released. The tune got positive reviews and ratings from music fans, being designated as sweetly sentimental and said to contain refined verses
Geiger, having cut ties with Columbia Records, self-released her subsequent collection, The Last Fears, through iTunes and Spotify in 2013. Despite the fact that it was generally welcomed by her fans, it didn't build up the same success and prevalence that her first collection had. Eventually, Geiger started to discover accomplishment and success off-camera, creating tunes for artists like pop singer Shawn Mendes, Icona Pop, Maroon 5, One Direction, Sean Paul, and Lizzo. She released her third collection, LillyAnna, in 2018 to rave reviews.
Geiger has stayed a significant player in the music scene since the accomplishments she enjoyed from 2006, co-writing melodies for One Direction, Christina Aguilera. After coming out, she hopes to collaborate with more artists without the fear of being shunned by the industry. She feels that this is a new time in the business where people from all backgrounds can succeed with the support of the people.
Geiger came out as a transgender lady in a notable comment she presented on her Instagram account on October 27, 2017. Geiger and her lover, Hampshire started dating in 2018. They ended up getting engaged in November of the same year.
In spite of the fact that Geiger's songwriting on Shawn Mendes' "In My Blood" didn't win a Grammy, her uplifting statements to the LGBTQ community left a mark. She found that coming out in support of the community on a national network was a strong move that she was very proud of. In October 2017 when a fan asked on social media for what reason Geiger was looking different lately, she replied: "I am transitioning". Geiger wrote in a heartfelt reaction, on another Instagram post, "Love it or hate it, this is who I’ve been for a long time."
