Seth Adam Meyers was born on December 28, 1973 in Evanston, Illinois. Meyers' mother, Hilary Claire was a French instructor. His father, Laurence Meyers Jr worked in the finance industry. His more youthful sibling is actor Josh Meyers. Meyers performed at a few Jewish Community Centers when he was growing up. Meyers went to Edgewood Elementary in Okemos. He then studied in Manchester High School West in New Hampshire. He graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston.
Meyers joined the Saturday Night Live cast in 2001. In 2005, he started his career in writing. In January 2006, he moved toward becoming a co-head writer, imparting the role to Tina Fey and Andrew Steele. In 2008, Meyers appeared in the 3D film, Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brendan Fraser and Anita Briem. In 2004, he was in the motion picture 'See This Movie 'with John Cho. In July 2008, Meyer started to coordinate the web series The Line on Crackle. Meyers hosted the same show twice in 2008 and 2009, the Webby Awards. In 2009.

In 2014, Meyers hosted the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2018, Meyers hosted the 75th Golden Globe Awards.
Seth's work has been valued by numerous honors. He won Writers Guild of America for the Comedy/Variety series in 2009. In 2011, he was granted Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
Meyer was dating a human rights attorney named Alexi Ashe. They got engaged in July 2013. The two married on September 1, 2013, on Martha's Vinyard. They gave birth to their child named Ashe Olson Meyer was who was born at Lenox Hill Hospital on March 27, 2016. On April 8, 2018, the couple brought forth their subsequent child, Axel Strahl Meyers in their apartment.
