Sandra Miju Oh was born on July 20, 1971, in Ontario, Canada. Her father Joon-Soo and mother Young-Nan emigrated from South Korea to study financial matters and organic chemistry. Based on Luke Jennings' Codename Villanelle novellas, the series featured Oh as British knowledge operator Eve Polastri, who ends up fixated on hunting professional killer Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer. Killing Eve intrigued its crowd, with The New York Times calling it a great new show.
In September 2019, at the 2019 Emmy Awards show, Sandra was nominated for the Lead Actress in a Drama Series because of her performance on Killing Eve.
