Robin Alan Thicke was born on March 10, 1977 in Los Angeles, CA. He is the child of vocalist and actor Gloria Loring and signature tune composer and actor Alan Thicke. He experienced childhood in rural Los Angeles, encompassed by the entertainment business. A demo he recorded at 14 years old was heard by Brian McKnight, who helped the youth, consequently nicknamed Brian McWhite get a record deal with the Interscope label.

Thicke then started an open crusade to win her back, pronouncing his adoration for her at shows and in any event, venturing to such an extreme as to title his next album collection Paula. The collection was released in July 2014 and crested inside the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.
