Pauly Shore was born in Hollywood, California, the United States on February 1, in the year 1968. He was brought up by his father, Mitzi Shore who was a popular comedian. His father was also the founder of The Comedy Store. Pauly has received the inspiration to become a comedian from his father. After completing his schooling at the Beverly Hills High School, he began his career as a comedian. He was so fascinated by his career as a comedian, he gave up his university education.
Career
Pauly Shore made his first appearance on the stage as a comedian at the Alley Cat Bistro, Culver City. He was mentored by Sam Kinison who had encouraged him a lot to pursue his passion. Pauly rose to fame in the year 1989 through the MTV VJ show. While working with the MTV VJ, he also launched his own show which was known as Totally Pauly. Pauly’s fan following went higher and higher when he hosted the show. The song, "Lisa, Lisa, the One I Adore", sung and composed by Pauly, was highly praised by the audience.
Pauly began his film career in the year 1992 with Encino Man which received a very good response from the audience. The next few films utterly disappointed Pauly due to the negative responses received from the audience. Even the television show, Pauly was a huge flop and was called off after a few episodes. After noticing the downward slope of his career in the film industry, he shifted his attention.
In the year 2003, he scripted, directed and produced Pauly Shore Is Dead where he was in the lead role. It was a semi-autobiographical film which was highly appreciated by the audience. Pauly was very satisfied with the positive response which encouraged him to appear in a few television series. Besides that, he is also engaged with a number of MTV projects which further adds to his fame.
