Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was born on July 27, 1970 in Rudkøbing, Denmark. He experienced childhood in Tybjerg. His mom, Hanne Søborg Coster, was an administrator and his father was Jørgen Oscar Fritzer Waldau. His father died in 1998.
