Matt Bonner is a retired professional basketball player who hails from America. Initially, Matt Bonner began his basketball playing career by playing college basketball representing the University of Florida. It was after that stint Matt Bonner landed the opportunity of being notched up by the NBA team Chicago Bulls, in the NBA draft of the year 2003, he was the 45th pick overall. Later on, Matt Bonner went to play for various teams such as the Toronto Raptors and even the San Antonio Spurs, a team with whom he went on to win the NBA championships twice.

Matt Bonner was born on April 5,1980 as Matthew Robert Bonner. He was born in the city of Concord in New Hampshire, located in the country of the United States of America.According to his biography, Matt Bonner was a student at the Concord High School, the school at which he was an instrumental part of the basketball team that went on to win the state championships thrice. Matt Bonner was crowned the Valedictorian of the class he graduated from.
Matt Bonner was granted an athletic scholarship to be a student at the University of Florida, Matt accepted the scholarship and he went on to play for the Men’s Basketball Team of the Florida Gators under the famous coach Billy Donoran, from the year 1999 to 2003. In those 4 seasons that he played for the team he had accumulated 778 rebounds, 165 three-point field goals and 1570 points.
In 2003, in his senior year, Matt Bonner was already an Associated Press’ honourable mention and the first team All-Southeastern Conference Selection. Matt Bonner went on to graduate with his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with the highest honours and he had a grade point average of 3.96. For the sport of Basketball, Matt Bonner was twice, the recipient of the Academic All American of the Year, in the years 2002 and 2003.

He began his career by being drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the year 2003, later he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, who didn’t have a spot on the roster for him and asked Matt Bonner to go overseas to play and continue training while they promised him verbally to be on the team next season.
