Lea Tyrrell was born and raised in New York by her parents where she went on to attend the New York Intitute of Technology which is based in Old Wetsbury. Lea graduated with a degree in communication. Lea stood first in her entire class and graduated with a full 4.0 point average and won several awards during her college days. Lea grew up with her younger sister Kim Tyrrell. Lea belongs to the white ethnicity and holds an American nationality.

Lea Tyrrell got married to Frank with whom she has a daughter named Victoria. The family happily resides on Long Island. Just like many other fellow journalists, Lea is quite active on her twitter handle. She is very vocal about some topics which involve politics and hollywood.
