Lauren Alaina was born on November 8, 1994 in Rossville, Georgia. Alaina grew up tuning in to country music and initially started singing around age three. Before American Idol, she was a team cheerleader at her high school and performed routinely around Georgia, where she won the WinniSTAR youth talent challenge in 2009.
As a Southern singer, Lauren Alaina first became obvious to the music world as the runner up in the 2011 season of Fox's American Idol. She earned a number five Billboard 200 album collection spot with her 2015 presentation, Wildflower, and a top Billboard Country Airplay single with the title track to her 2017 sophomore collection, The Road Less Traveled.
