Kerry was born 35 years ago in August 1982 to Jerome and Jubrella Rhodes in Birmingham city of Alabama. As a young in he developed an early interest in playing basketball and football but chose the latter pursuing it up until joining Jess Lanier High School in his hometown county of Jefferson in Birmingham. He later joined the University of Louisville in 2002 to play for the Louisville Cardinals in the Georgia state city of Atlanta. While playing for his college team Kerry was awarded the Metro player of the year gong and also an All-state award for his participation in the basketball team.
As a public figure much of Kerry’s personal life is open for all to see. Kerry has been in a relationship with actress Eva Marcille for one year between 2006 and 2007 before calling it quits and has also been in a relationship with model Jessica White before breaking up shortly after. Currently Kerry is married to actress Nick Whelan of Australian origin and they wedded at a private wedding in 2017 April 15. There was speculation and rumors from different sources that the couple were divorcing but nothing ever come of it.
Career
Having began playing football at a very tender age, Kerry grew up with a desire to pursue a career in football. He played as a quarterback for his college team when he joined but the coach saw fit to move him to play as safety and the move paid dividends with Kerry ending his novice year with 3 pass breaks and 9 tackles he progressed well in the team and soon after his stats started improving earning a career high in number of tackles with 82. In his senior year at college he made 167 tackles, 18 pass deflection and 11 interceptions.
In 2005 during the annual player selection meeting by the NFL, Kerry was drafted as the 123rd overall pick in the fourth round by the New York based team the Jets. He made his debut in the same year starting as a safetyman and was able to make 16 consecutive starts in the 2005 season beating out Oliver Celestin.
In the rookie season he was able to make 108 tackles which was a standout performance by a rookie. After 5 years with the New York Jets, Kerry was drafted to play for the Arizona Cardinals in 2010. He played in his favored role until 2013 when he was relieved of his contract by the Cardinals. Since leaving the NFL, Kerry took up an interest in acting and film production attributing it to his desire of doing other things and he currently pursing a career in Hollywood. Kerry has an estimated net worth of $10 million.
