Now at fifty years of age, Jean and Alex met when she worked as a project manager at a real estate agency. Growing up in the suburbs of New York, the duo met at a party in the year of 1998 and immediately fell in love. They eventually got married at Los Angeles’ Regency Club in front of one hundred and fifty guests. In Alex’s usual style, he said Yes, I do in front of the guests which set the guests laughing.
Having been married for twenty-four years, the duo has two children, a daughter Emily and a son Matthew. Jean was educated in Harbourfields High School. The family currently lives in California. Jean has stated that though she was initially nervous on having met Alex, Alex later turned out to be very simple and extremely down to earth. He is extremely casual in real life as opposed to his portrayal on the show. Alex’s previous marriage was to Elaine Callei which bore no children though they stayed together for seven years.
Personal Life
Jean is extremely serious when it comes to her religion. Not much is known about Jean Currivan Trebek or her personal life. Jean Currivan was just twenty-six years of age when Alex proposed her. Alex proposed Jean with a sapphire ring which was studded with diamonds. Alex purchased a mountain at Hollywood Hills prior to their wedding and the property has a staggering cost of $1.5 million.
Jean’s son owns a Mexican restaurant in New York for which she invested her own money. The restaurant named ‘Oso’ is located in Harlem is owned by Alex and Jean’s son Matthew. Reportedly, Matthew holds no interest in television like his mother as opposed to his father and his sister who enjoy the entertainment industry.
Jean’s daughter Emily passed out of the University of Loyola Mary in the year 2015. Jean experiences a lot of discomfort when standing in front of the camera. This is one of the major reasons why her photos cannot be found in any of the social media platforms. The family previously lived in a house at Mulholland Drive but now reside in the Studio City.
