Heather Locklear was born on September 25, 1961, in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in the rich Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks. Her father worked as a director in the recorder's office at the University of California. Her mother worked as the administrative authority for the famous Walt Disney Company. She was destined for entertainment because of her mother's line of work.
Locklear started to make waves in her career when she appeared on CHiPs in 1980, and later guest-featured on the shows Eight Is Enough and Twirl. Locklear really got set up for life in 1981, when she went for a role in Dynasty, the popular prime-time soap opera highlighting John Forsythe, Joan Collins and Linda Evans. She played Sammy Jo Carrington, the plotting life partner of Steven on the show, which was produced by Aaron Spelling.
In 1993, Locklear rejoined with Spelling as part of the cast of Melrose Place, a side project of the incredibly fruitful and successful drama, Beverly Hills 90210. Before her appearance on Melrose, the show's evaluations and ratings were somber. After her arrival as Amanda Woodward, a plotting authority and apartment-complex proprietor, the show's evaluations and ratings took off. Viewers of the show couldn't turn away from the destruction that she caused for the other characters.
Melrose Place was dropped in 1998 but in the following year, Locklear got the opportunity to modify her image as mayoral advisor Caitlin Moore on the sitcom known as Spin City. Trading scenes with co-stars Michael J. Fox and, later, Charlie Sheen, Locklear helped the show's appraisals and displayed her adaptability as an actress. She went from being the cold dramatic actress in Melrose Place to being a key piece in a comedy. Fans of here were delighted that she would keep appearing on their television screens.
Heather was a sex symbol during her career and attracted the attention of men all over the country. Heather had a long marriage with popular metal drummer Tommy Lee that ended in divorce in August 1993. A year later, she married Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora. Following three years, the couple had their first young lady, Ava Elizabeth Sambora. In 2006, Locklear and Sambora decided to get a divorce, which was settled in April 2007.
