Her road to glory began in 1999 after she graduated from Rockford High, (Rockford Michigan). The best and the brightest of her class she happily set off to tackle the world. After High School, she studied at Valparaiso University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology. Goal oriented, well educated, and focused she wanted to become a meteorologist on the Today show by age 30. She worked feverishly at different media outlets early in her career. After a lot of blood, sweat and tears, The Today Show finally asked her to be a guest meteorologist on a weekend edition of The Today Show. The much welcomed invitation allowed Ginger to fulfill the goal she set when leaving high school. That was the crack in the door she needed to set off and show the world just how talented she is at what she does. In November of 2011 she became a permanent edition to GMA. Two years later, she succeeded Sam Champion as lead meteorologist. Ginger hit the ground running and has been on the fast track ever since.
There are many projects to her credit; she’s covered the Jersey shore after Hurricane Sandy, the Colorado floods, the aftermath of the tornados in Moore and El Reno Oklahoma. She also covered the Boston Blizzard which basically crippled the city; and the unbearable scorching heat in Death Valley. Currently she is Senior Meteorologist at Good Morning America; she was formerly the weather anchor on GMA’s Weekend edition. She has been on a series of jaw dropping adventures during her time at GMA. Parahwaking in Nepal, Paragliding in Colombia and Mexico; just to name a few, she has traveled all over the world with her metrological skills. Occasionally she appears on Other ABC programming such as Nightline, ABC world news. She also was a Guest on Discovery’s Storm Chasers (season 4)
Meteorology is not the only aspect of Ginger’s life; she became engaged to her then boyfriend, TV personality Aaron Benjamin Colonomos. After a sweet romance, they were married in Petoskey Michigan in 2014 surrounded by their friends and loved ones. Ginger and Aaron share a beautiful life together; this power couple is most definitely conquering the world. Although she has no children yet but; they are on her to do list in the future. Just like all of the rest of the goals she has set for herself. She will accomplish motherhood as well, one day.
