Her character drives a coven of sorcerer witches who undermine business as usual in Bon Temps, deleting the greater part of Eric Northman's recollections and leaving him practically vulnerable when he attempts to execute her and separate their coven.
In 2012, Shaw appeared in the National Theater recovery of Scenes from an Execution by Howard Barker. The world's biggest independent theater celebration, United Solo perceived her performance in The Testament of Mary on Broadway with the 2013 United Solo Special Award.
