Background and Age

Fiona Shaw was born on July 10, 1958 in Cobh, Ireland. She was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith. Her father, Denis Wilson, was an ophthalmic specialist and her mom, Mary, was a physicist. She went to school at Scoil Mhuire in Cork City. She got her degree in University College Cork. She prepared for her acting career at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Shaw played the male lead in Richard II, directed by Deborah Warner in 1995. Shaw has worked together with Warner on various events, on both stage and screen. In 2009, Shaw worked together with Deborah Warner once more, playing the lead role in Tony Kushner's interpretation of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children.

Her character drives a coven of sorcerer witches who undermine business as usual in Bon Temps, deleting the greater part of Eric Northman's recollections and leaving him practically vulnerable when he attempts to execute her and separate their coven.

In 2012, Shaw appeared in the National Theater recovery of Scenes from an Execution by Howard Barker. The world's biggest independent theater celebration, United Solo perceived her performance in The Testament of Mary on Broadway with the 2013 United Solo Special Award. Shaw got her biggest break when she won roles in Killing Eve and the Harry Potter film series.

In September 2019, at the 2019 Emmy Awards show, Shaw was nominated for the Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award because of her performance in Killing Eve.
