Caitlyn Jenner is a famous transsexual media personality and reality TV star. In her earlier life, she was known as Bruce Jenner who won Olympic gold as a track and field star. Caitlyn Jenner was born as Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York. Jenner had dyslexia and battled the stress of school at a young age. He did not do well in his studies but exceeded expectations when it came to sports.
He earned a football scholarship from Graceland College in Iowa. After knee damage removed him from the dreams of a football career, he changed his path to Olympic style events. His school track mentor, L.D. Weldon, persuaded Jenner to prepare for the Olympic decathlon. Little did the competitor know then that he would proceed to wind up a standout amongst the most adored competitors of the 1970s.
Jenner was known in the sports world as an Olympic gold medal winner but his fame reached higher levels when he became a reality TV star. He starred as one of the leading male subjects on the reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show focused on his famous daughters and step daughters who were becoming leaders of the social media influencer niche.
Jenner’s former spouse is Kris Jenner. He had children with her named Kendall and Kylie Jenner. He has two children, Casey and Burt, from his first marriage to Chrystie Crownover. They were married from 1972 to 1981. He also has two children, Brandon and Brody with his second spouse Linda Thompson.
In April 2015, Jenner appeared in highly viewed TV interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC's 20/20. During the interview with Sawyer, Jenner expressed that he identified himself as a lady, utilizing the sex based pronouns "he" and "we". On June 1, 2015, Jenner announced on Twitter that she is a lady, presently known as Caitlyn, "I'm so upbeat after such a long battle to experience my actual self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can hardly wait for you to become more acquainted with her/me."
On that same day, Vanity Fair released its July 2015 spread shot of Jenner as Caitlyn, which was captured by Annie Leibovitz. Jenner disclosed to Vanity Fair contributing editorial manager Buzz Bissinger about the photo shoot: "This shoot was about my life and my identity as an individual. It's not about the exhibition, it's not about individuals cheering in the arena.”
